The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that its operatives at the Port Harcourt Zonal Command apprehended 11 individuals suspected of internet fraud.
A statement by EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, on Friday, said the suspects were arrested during a sting operation carried out at Whimpey, Ada George area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to the statement, the arrests followed credible intelligence on their alleged internet fraud activities, as well as several days of surveillance within the areas.
“Arrested with them are four cars, diverse brands of phones and laptop computers containing fraudulent documents.”
