On Saturday, a former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s media aide, Paul Ibe  described the remarks by the wife of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Unoma faulting the s*xual harassment allegations against her husband as a distraction.

Ibe wondered why Akpabio was relegated to the background while his wife came forward to confront Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Natasha had accused Akpabio of s*xual harassment and intimidation which became public after a sitting rearrangement row on the floor of the Senate.

The matter took another turn on Friday when the female lawmaker made startling revelations about how Akpabio made s*xual overtures at her.

She claimed that her refusal led to intimidations, her motions denied, and some of her privileges also withdrawn from her.

Responding, Akpabio wife, Unoma accused the lawmaker of lying, while wondering if she got the permission of her husband before making such allegations against the Senate President.

Consequently, she instituted a N350 billion lawsuits against Natasha at the Federal Capital Territory High Court.

Reacting, Ibe challenged Akpabio to address the allegations himself.

Posting on X, he wrote: “The last time I checked, the allegations of s*xual harassment, intimidation, and maltreatment that Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan made was against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and not his wife, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio.

“It is also laughable for Mrs Ekaette Akpabio to suggest that Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan needed permission from her husband before making the allegations against the Senate President on @ARISEtv. The only people that Natasha needed to get a clearance from, if need be, are her constituents of Kogi Central Senatorial district.”
