Customs operatives from the Seme Area Command in Nigeria have intercepted and confiscated a truck carrying beans suspected to be destined for unauthorized export.
This was made known in a video shared on the Customs X handle on Friday, march 8.
The Customs Area Comptroller, Timi Bomodi, revealed that 400 sacks of beans with a duty paid value of N61.4m was found in the truck.
Bomodi said: “These were stockpiled at a warehouse very close to the border and attempts were already been made to move these beans across into the Benin Republic.”
