Six suspected cult members have been arrested by men attached to the Delta State Police Command’s Buffalo Squad.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
During the arrest, a vehicle, locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered from the suspects. “Operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys; upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered,” the PPRO wrote. “Ordinarily, when people see police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of the Black Axe Confraternity.”
