The police operatives also recovered 375 live cartridges from the man.
The Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who made this known in a statement issued on Monday in Awka, the state capital, said Owaya was arrested on Saturday at 1:30pm by police operatives attached to Fegge division while on patrol along Niger Street, Onitsha.

Ikenga, who said investigation was still ongoing, said, “The Commissioner of Police, Nnaghe Obono Itam, while commending police officers who made the recovery for their vigilance and tenacity of purpose directs all personnel in the Command to sustain the tempo of crime prevention and detection in service of the people of the state.”
