Many motorists and passengers who are plying the University of Ibadan-Ojoo Road in Ibadan, Oyo State, have been left stranded.
Daily Post reports that the development followed the collapse of a giant billboard on the road.
The billboard collapsed at Ajibode junction, on the University of Ibadan-Ojoo dual carriageway.
Daily Post reports that the billboard collapsed during a heavy rainfall on Thursday.
It was gathered that commercial buses and taxis have abandoned the road as a result of the collapsed billboard, while majority of the commuters plying the road are currently stranded.
Car owners are also looking for alternative routes to avoid the road.
The collapsed billboard, which had made the road inaccessible, had not been removed as at the time of filing this report on Thursday.
