Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, Thomas Carlyle said and I quote “ A person with a clear purpose will make progress on even the roughest road. A person without purpose will make no progress even on the smoothest road.”
I want to thank you all for
the encouragement you all gave me when the journey became tougher few days before the elections.
Standing in the sun to campaign, vote and ensuring you stood firm to secure this mandate was very laudable.
In All, your support brought about the Victory today.
You are the real heroes and I am so blessed to have you all in my team.
I am indeed grateful to you my supporters from COSIT, COSMAS, COHUM, COVTED AND COSPED.
I want to Assure you of my Responsive, Humble and Accountable Leadership.
I wish to commend the efforts of all other aspirants Com. Alder Ololade and Com. Adeboye Nurien for their immense contributions, we are all winners in this project.
I will be glad to have you both as my confidant because alone I can do so little; together we can do so much.
In this administration, our relationship with the management will be in two ways. Firstly, Partnership and secondly in loco parentis. It is pertinent that the students need the management and the management needs the students as well.
We also seek the support of all Labour bodies and union on campus for smooth administration particularly the ASUU Tasued chapter. There is need to work together in order to achieve a successful TASUED. Our offices are going to be opened to everyone and we urge you all to feel free to walk up to us at all times, maintaining an open door policy is very key to our collective success.
Team Reliability will work tirelessly to achieve a different TASUED and some of our focal points includes :
Enhance academic excellence
Improved security and welfare of all students
Innovation on campus
Reinvigoration of TASUEDSU transparency and accountability
As part of our core goal, Team Reliability will be working with The School Management via each departments to provide ease in getting Student’s ID cards easily as against the current problem facing us as students.
In peculiar situations where the management exercises full discretionary power, we humbly seek that decisions are made bearing in mind the in loco parentis role the management plays towards the students. We are not coming on board to be anti-management but to unequivocally represent the interest of the students and to represent every form of justice.
We will ensure that a peaceful and convenient atmosphere is maintained as our focus is to erect a lasting foundation for the Students’ Union. Hence, we crave the support of the esteemed management and stakeholders in every aspect.

For a better TASUED and Nigeria at large, we implore the Federal Government to look closely beyond banning of social media platforms like Twitter. Social media does not only help the youths secure jobs but also an avenue that sell the glory of the present administration to the world.
You will agree with me that to reduce unemployment rate in this nation, social media will play a major significant role. However, we call on the Federal Government to always consider all citizens before making a decision, Team Reliability hereby frown at the act of the Federal Government and seek retraction of their decision.
In conclusion, a Yoruba adage says “Igi Kan ole da gbo se” we implore everyone to work with us towards achieving the goals of this administration. As the ideology behind Reliability implies, every Tasuedites should have it at the back of h/her mind that TASUEDSU belongs to us.
