Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, has made a controversial statement.
He stated that any individual who has been convicted or fined by the court is an ex-convict.
He added that even if it is with jail, fine or both.
Revealing this via his X handle on Thursday, April 25, Adejobi wrote: “LEGAL MATTER: Anyone who has been convicted by the court, whether with jail term or fine, or both remains an ex-convict.
“Be law-abiding and avoid it. Ire oo.”
