The Lagos police command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has reacted after a Nigerian man took to the ‘X’ platform to narrate how the police asked a man to bring the sum of N100,000 for mobilization.
The man had earlier come on X to lament after his office was burgled and laptops and other valuables were carted away.
In an update given, the man said he visited the Maroko Police station to report the case and he was allegedly asked to bring N100,000 for ‘mobilization’.
Reacting to the post, Hundeyin said the man should not succumb to any form of extortion and asked him to speak to the Divisional Police Officer in person.
