Boko Haram Attacks Borno Military Base, Kills Soldier, Civilian Girlfriend

Also killed by the gunmen was a lady identified as the girlfriend of the deceased who was reportedly sneaked into the camp the previous night.

A Nigerian soldier has been killed by Boko Haram terrorists who attacked Nigerian troops of the 112 battalion in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to Sahara Reporters, the sad incident happened on Monday.

Security sources said the soldier was killed when the terrorists attacked a military base tagged Tango 19.

Also killed by the gunmen was a lady identified as the girlfriend of the deceased who was reportedly sneaked into the camp the previous night.

 

“An incident happened early this morning to our troops at 112 battalion in Mafa LGA Borno State. Boko Haram attacked our Tango 19 and killed one soldier.

 

“They also killed one girl the soldier secretly brought to the camp last night,” one of the sources told SaharaReporters.

Nigeria has been battling with insurgents in the North-East region for about two decades now.

Efforts to reach the army spokesperson, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, for comments on his mobile failed.
