Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice-President, hosted Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for a breakfast meeting at his residence in Adamawa State.

In a video posted on his X handle on Saturday, Atiku was seen with Obi, walking into a dining area of his house.

Recall that Atiku had in May hosted Obi at his residence in Abuja, sparking rumours of a possible alliance between both politicians ahead of the 2027 election.

Recall that Atiku was the standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2019 with Peter Obi as his running mate.

Obi, who was a member of PDP, defected to the Labour Party in 2022, seven months before the 2023 elections.

The 78-years-old Atiku had in May said he would continue to contest for the Nigerian presidency as long as he is hale and hearty.

He has run for presidency six times, but has not not won the number one citizen’s position.
