On Wednesday, Olatunji Baruwa, the goalkeeping trainer for the Super Eagles, was hosted by the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, 0in Lafia.

Governor Sule doled out an undisclosed amount of money to Baruwa at a brief reception held at the Government House in Lafia.

Baruwa is also Nigeria National League outfit, Nasarawa United goalkeper trainer.

The coach thanked the state number one citizen for his kind gesture.

“Your Excellency, Sir, I lack what to say because I am already emotional,” he stated.

“Nasarawa State has been nice to me. After my family, they are the next family I have.”

The Super Eagles finished in second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
