Deputy Senate President, Barau Celebrates Kashim Shettima As He Turns 58

Senator Barau commended the Vice President for his significant and progressive contributions in both the private and public sectors, which have garnered him widespread admiration.

Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin,  has extended his warmest regards to Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

The former Governor of Borno State clocked 58-year-old today, Monday, September 2, 2024.

In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau commended the Vice President for his significant and progressive contributions in both the private and public sectors, which have garnered him widespread admiration.

The lawmaker prayed to God to continue to grant the number two citizen good health and wisdom to support his principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in running the country’s affairs.

Barau said: “Before entering politics, he was a highly successful banker. His transition into the political arena has seen him make significant contributions to the strengthening of democracy in the country.

“Despite the challenges posed by Boko Haram then, he demonstrated exceptional governance during his tenure as governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019. As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior (2019 – 2023), he worked tirelessly to address the challenges faced by the agencies under his committee.

“I pray that Allah SWT continues to grant him sound health and wisdom in his endeavours and support for His Excellency, the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in successfully delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda for the peace and progress of our beloved country.”
